In 2010, the CSIC Library and Archive Network published a catalog of indicators to serve as self-assessment tools for the Network and its libraries and archives. These metrics are used to measure performance, identify areas of excellence and improvement, and foster practices aligned with quality policy.

The catalog groups indicators by people (staff and users), material resources (collections, infrastructure, and budget), processes, user outcomes, and impact on research and society.
